We opened Finbar's in January 1997 to cater for the growing English-speaking community and those locals, especially students from the university district that we are located in, who are attracted by the English language environment and all things Irish.

Many years organising Irish events here in the Spanish capital finally convinced us to open Finbar's, one place at least where you can meet the real thing all year round. We made it rustic, homely and functional, everybody can see each other at the bar, and its geared it up for all sports and music events, not least the weekly football and traditional sessions.

Our friendly staff are always ready to help out and inform you about Madrid and happenings here - you will find a welcome on the mat at Finbar's.
